Intro
Dr. Michael DiNunzio is proud to serve the Asheville community, a place he grew up visiting during summers in the Blue Ridge Mountains. His early connection to the region shaped his appreciation for its people, culture, and natural beauty—values that continue to influence his approach to care today.
A Different Perspective on Healthcare
After earning his degree in Anthropology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, Dr. DiNunzio became deeply interested in a critical question:
Why is modern medicine so effective at treating disease, yet often limited in preventing it?
This question led him down a path of exploring more holistic approaches to health and healing.
Discovering Holistic Medicine
While traveling through the Yucatán region of Mexico, Dr. DiNunzio studied traditional healing practices by interviewing local practitioners, from respected midwives to herbal medicine specialists.
These experiences reshaped his understanding of health, reinforcing the idea that the body should be treated as a whole—not just a collection of symptoms.
It was during this journey that he discovered chiropractic care and its focus on restoring balance through the nervous system.
Education & Advanced Training
Dr. DiNunzio went on to attend Sherman College of Chiropractic, located just outside Asheville.
During his time there, he:
*Studied advanced chiropractic techniques
*Focused on correcting nervous system interference
*Specialized in techniques designed to reduce pressure on the brainstem
He has since spent years refining his craft and has even traveled to Colombia, South America, working alongside other chiropractors to help deliver care to thousands of individuals.
Life Outside the Office
When he’s not in the clinic, Dr. DiNunzio is a dedicated father to his three sons Michael, Gabriel, and Liam.
He enjoys:
*Exploring the Blue Ridge Mountains
*Hiking and outdoor adventures
*Playing guitar
*Cooking healthy meals
*Mountain biking (and trying not to wipe out)
